How do you make a spaceship's engines glow like the films?
LED strands clustered behind the transparent engine pieces, blue or orange depending on the ship. Our kits place them behind the trans elements the set already has, so the glow looks built in rather than added.
Can a hanging or stand-mounted model still be lit?
Yes. The USB cable follows the stand or drops discreetly from a hanging model. For a wall or ceiling display, run it along the mounting line where it disappears.
Does cockpit lighting help, or does it just add clutter?
Done sparingly it is the best part — a soft glow on the pilot reads as cinematic at any scale. Our kits use a single warm or cool LED in a cockpit for exactly that reason.
Which aircraft and spacecraft are covered?
Icons aircraft, Creator planes, NASA sets and science-fiction craft. Star Wars™ ships have their own collection.
Do the NASA sets get particular treatment?
Yes — engine glow, cargo bay lighting and pad-style accents, matched to each vehicle's real lighting character rather than lit generically.
What works best on a display aircraft?
Navigation lights at the wingtips, red and green, plus landing lights and a little cabin glow. Small touches, but they are what make an airliner read as real on a shelf.
