FAQ - LEGO Franchises Light Kits

Got questions? We have answers.

Can I light licensed sets like Star Wars, Harry Potter or Marvel?
Yes, and licensed themes are where lighting does the most. This collection covers kits compatible with LEGO® Star Wars™, Harry Potter™, Marvel, Disney, Batman™, Lord of the Rings™, Super Mario™ and more, each built for one specific set.
Will lighting a collectible set hurt its value?
No. Nothing is glued and nothing is modified, so the kit comes out and the set returns to factory condition. In practice a lit set displays and photographs better, which is what most owners care about.
How do I choose between so many franchise kits?
Start from the set you own and search its number. Then look at the effects that suit the world — flickering torches for a castle, engine glow for a ship, neon for a city street. Every product page shows photos of the kit installed.
Which franchises are covered?
Star Wars™, Harry Potter™, Marvel, DC and Batman™, Disney, Super Mario™, Zelda™, Ninjago®, Lord of the Rings™, Jurassic World™, Fortnite®, Pokémon™, One Piece, The Simpsons™ and others across the licensed LEGO® themes.
Do franchise kits include themed effects?
Many do — sabre glow, wand light, reactor pulses, fires flickering in a castle hall. Each product page lists the effects designed for that particular model.
Do new licensed sets get kits?
Continuously. Licensed releases are our first priority, and kits for major Star Wars™, Marvel and Harry Potter™ sets usually follow within weeks of launch.
